Nevada Appeal, by Geoff Dornan Posted By: Ladyhawke- Wed, 31 Mar 2010 22:05:41 GMT State workers and visitors to the Nevada Capitol were surprised Wednesday morning to find all but the front door locked and metal detectors for both packages and people set up at the entrance. The Plural of ‘junk science’ is still junk

New York Post, by Jeff Steir Posted By: Vulgarius Rex- Wed, 31 Mar 2010 22:05:29 GMT NOTE: With several House members claiming inaccuracy in Jeff Stier's March 24 article (see their letter opposite), The Post asked him to reply. Rep. Maloney et al cite over a hundred "studies," but many of them aren't even studies, let alone peer'reviewed. And a good number have nothing to do with "Ground Zero toxins." The few actual studies that do focus on the real issue here share a huge methodological flaw '' which is why they were largely published in third'rate journals that manufacture "peer'reviewed" reports regularly relied on by activists and plaintiffs

Who’s doing the fearmongering here?

Chicago Tribune Syndicate, by Jonah Goldberg Posted By: site troll- Wed, 31 Mar 2010 21:55:29 GMT So self'proclaimed militia leader Mike Vanderboegh (who runs an obscure blog out of Pinson, Ala. '' population 5,007) recently called on his fellow "sons of liberty" to break the windows of Democrats to protest health'care reform. Start with the obvious: Vanderboegh is an idiot, and anyone who followed his advice is an idiot, too. Such behavior is simply wrong, reprehensible and clownish. Equally wrong, reprehensible and clownish: the reaction to Vanderboegh and his alleged ilk. Source corrected.

Holy Presidents! Obama and Sarkozy’s Batman and Robin impression as they leap from press conference

Daily Mail [UK], by Staff Posted By: GaGardener- Wed, 31 Mar 2010 21:54:42 GMT They went to extraordinary lengths last night to appear inseparable ' now this picture proves that Barack Obama and Nicolas Sarkozy are the new Dynamic Duo. Leaping (apparently literally, in the diminutive Mr Sarkozy's case) from a press conference, the pair resembled the infamous superheroes Batman and Robin. (Snip) Mr Obama repeatedly referred to Mr Sarkozy by his first name during the French President's first Washington visit and spoke fondly of his trip to Paris last year.

GOP may push Lazio to run for different office

New York Post, by Maggie Haberman Posted By: Vulgarius Rex- Wed, 31 Mar 2010 21:36:29 GMT Multiple Republican insiders say that state GOP officials may make a push to try to get Rick Lazio to switch running for a different office to clear the primary field for Steve Levy for the gubernatorial slot. State party spokesman Alex Carey denied that any such conversations have taken place. But several well'placed Republicans have said there have been loose conversations about trying to get the former Long Island congressman to run for attorney general (where there are no declared candidates on the GOP side) or Senate against Kirsten Gillibrand.

D.C. sets monthly medical pot limit

Associated Press, by Jessica Gresko Posted By: grandpa- Wed, 31 Mar 2010 21:33:40 GMT The District would allow people to have up to 2 ounces of marijuana a month — enough for about a joint a day — for certain medical uses under a bill that moved closer to passage Tuesday. How’s Koch doin’? Great

New York Post, by Michal Goodwin Posted By: Site Troll- Wed, 31 Mar 2010 21:31:23 GMT Ed Koch is on fire. Here are a few of the bombshells he dropped yesterday. President Obama "wants to make Israel a pariah state." Hillary Clinton is a "disappointment" and didn't deserve the standing ovation she got from a leading Jewish group. Sen. Chuck Schumer has been silent on America's tilt toward the Palestinians because he is "afraid of Obama." Anything else? Only that Clinton won't answer his letters when he asks directly whether the United States is prepared to defend Israel from Iran. And Obama isn't neutral in the Mideast. He's pro'Arab.

But the lead'up to the first broadcast of the show already feels like a bad joke, as promos of the initial installment (which you can check out here) have drawn criticism from none other than LL Cool J, who tweeted last night:Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins Show. WOW There’s two problems now for LL.

Obama’s Drilling Deception

Fox Nation, by Michelle Malkin Posted By: teddyd49- Wed, 31 Mar 2010 21:28:05 GMT Before he was for it: The Obama administration is proposing to open vast expanses of water along the Atlantic coastline, the eastern Gulf of Mexico and the north coast of Alaska to oil and natural gas drilling, much of it for the first time, officials said Tuesday. (snip) If this were a sincere change of heart and an honest, stand'alone effort to wean America off foreign oil, it would be worth heralding. But as always with this administration, there’s a catch, via the American Energy Alliance
