There will be blood: Leaking Afghan war secrets will cost our friends their lives

Worse, it has produced mortal dangers in the battle zone. Initial evaluations suggested WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange had disseminated a mountain of reports that added little to the picture of a tough campaign. Now, though, closer inspection has revealed dozens of instances in which the reports reveal the names of Afghans who have cooperated with U.S. and NATO troops. They now sit squarely in the gunsights of the Taliban. Source corrected to site style.
