Right v. Rectitude

Townhall.com, by Ken Connor Posted By: NeverForget- Fri, 20 Aug 2010 14:51:57 GMT The growing opposition to plans for a Muslim cultural center and mosque near Ground Zero have prompted some on the Left to speak out in defense of religious freedom in America. On August 16th, pundit Keith Olbermann took opponents of the project to task in his "Special Comment" segment: "'They came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for me and by that time no one was left to speak up.' Pastor Martin Niemoller's words are well known, but their context is not well understood. Staff added text
