Sydney Morning Herald [AU], by Jason Koutsoukis Posted By: Photoonist- Mon, 28 Feb 2011 23:59:11 GMT Benghazi ' Unable to contain the revolt that has now overrun most of Libya and shredded support for him abroad, Muammar Gaddafi remained sequestered in his Tripoli compound as rebel military leaders planned moves to oust him. With almost no chance of Gaddafi suppressing the uprising that began on February 17, civilian leaders in Libya's second'largest city, Benghazi, carried on with building an administration that will run the country before national elections can be held.

SFGate.com, by Phillip Matier and Andrew Ross Posted By: NuGoddess- Mon, 28 Feb 2011 23:56:38 GMT San Francisco's big push for low'flow toilets has turned into a multimillion'dollar plumbing stink. Skimping on toilet water has resulted in more sludge backing up inside the sewer pipes, said Tyrone Jue, spokesman for the city Public Utilities Commission. That has created a rotten'egg stench near AT&T Park and elsewhere, especially during the dry summer months.

New York Times, by Arthur S. Brisbane Posted By: PageTurner- Mon, 28 Feb 2011 23:49:20 GMT In a January 22 story on the latest chapter in the colorful career of former Central Intelligence Agency officer Duane R. Clarridge, reporter Mark Mazzetti described a private spy network Mr. Clarridge was running in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The story noted that the United States military cut off its funding of the Clarridge operation last spring and since then he has relied on like'minded private donors to pay his people to gather information about militant fighters, Taliban leaders and the secrets of Kabuls ruling class.

Catoosa County News (Ringgold, GA), by Jeff O'Bryant Posted By: liberty316- Mon, 28 Feb 2011 23:45:20 GMT Marking the recent 38th "anniversary" of Roe V. Wade, president Obama, in what appears to me to be the only thing he doesnt feel government should be involved in, reaffirmed his support. Stating that it "protects women's health and reproductive freedom, and affirms a fundamental principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters," the president hoped Americans would recommit themselves to ensuring "that our daughters have the same rights, the same freedoms, and the same opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams." Unless, apparently, the birth of those sons and daughters would upset the mothers' plans.

Washington Times, by Dr. Milton R. Wolf Posted By: KarenJ1- Mon, 28 Feb 2011 23:43:43 GMT Primum nil nocere. First, do no harm. This bedrock principle in medicine is a foreign language to most politicians and, sadly, to some Wisconsin doctors, who have violated their oath and the public trust as they have defrauded Wisconsin taxpayers. Several University of Wisconsin family physicians donned their sacred white coats and were caught distributing fraudulent sick notes free for the asking quite literally by the boxful ' I wonder who paid for that printing ' to teachers and others who skipped work to engage in political

Washington Times, by Richard W. Rahn Posted By: KarenJ1- Mon, 28 Feb 2011 23:40:54 GMT The Obama administrations policies are causing Americans to pay far more for gasoline and other fuels than necessary. America is awash in fossil'fuel energy sources with almost 30 percent of the worlds coal and 80 percent of the worlds oil shale ' which contains an estimated three times the recoverable oil reserves of Saudi Arabia. Canada, with its oil sands, has the worlds third'highest oil reserves, after the United States and Saudi Arabia. New technologies that enable low'cost natural gas production from shale mean that many countries, including the United States,

Daily Caller, by Matthew Boyle Posted By: Photoonist- Mon, 28 Feb 2011 23:37:45 GMT The cadre of reporters that descended on Madison, Wis., during the past couple weeks steered attention away from the union demonstrators negativity or, at the very least, failed to call attention it. The public sector union protesters have exhibited violence against Fox News reporters and have carried signs comparing Republican Gov. Scott Walker to recently deposed Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak and Adolf Hitler. NBC News anchor Brian Williams likened union members actions to the populist revolts in the Middle East. (Snip) No major network anchor mentioned the signs comparing Walker to Mubarak or Hitler on air, according to a

Associated Press, by Brendan Farrington Posted By: Photoonist- Mon, 28 Feb 2011 23:29:13 GMT Florida's new Senate president, who wants the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate next year, got $152,000 from a coastal community college to write a book on politics, a product taxpayers will have to share if they want to see. The lone copy of "Florida Legislative History and Processes" by Mike Haridopolos can only be read at Brevard Community College's administration office. The 175'page, double'spaced manuscript doesn't come close to meeting the original contract's call for a publishable, textbook'quality look at the development of the Florida Legislature, state constitution, the governor's office and judiciary from pre'statehood until present. College officials insist the
