School Kid Videos: Creepy Obama Worship

“…if the left wants to discredit charges of Socialism, Communism, Nazism and Fascism; they should really think about not emulating Fascist, Communist, Socialist and Nazi regimes.”

I recently saw the first video of the school kids singing the Barack Obama song in class.  At first I thought it was the promo for the new “Children of the Corn” film or perhaps another remake of “Village of the Damned”, but alas, it is not.  It is real.  But I think it’s way scarier than either of those two retreads will be.  This is the single spookiest thing I’ve seen since  “Jeepers Creepers” in the theater.  It’s a bigger freak show than that Nancy Pelosi press conference where she lied about the CIA.

But, it tells us a lot.  It is another nugget of insight into the twisted logic and belief system that plagues the modern left.  It should be analyzed, discussed, and studied like the Zapruder film.

Again, I must reiterate that if the left wants to discredit charges of Socialism, Communism, Nazism and Fascism; they should really think about not emulating Fascist, Communist, Socialist and Nazi regimes.  As a child I remember films of kids my age in China, all dressed in creepy uniforms with red ties, pledging allegiance to photos of Chairman Mao.

This was shown to illustrate a BAD thing, not as a trailer of things to come.

Nationalism?  Respect for the President?  Pride in civic responsibility?  I’m all about it.  I think reciting the Pledge of Allegiance before the school week is a great tradition.  Singing songs that praise a specific, contemporary leader and his policies?  Meh, not really a good idea.

The teacher of this class, and a good number of the parents of the students involved will be confused by my outrage.  On MSNBC, Norah O’Donnell seemed equally puzzled.  They’re just kids.  It’s just a song about the president.  How is that indoctrination?

Why are you quirky tea-baggers letting your kettle boil over?

I’ll tell you why, you weak-minded, neo-fascist, tools.  Because our nation is built upon ideals and principles, not on individual leaders.  We do not worship our elected officials.  The relationship of politician to populace; that they are the servants of the public, is a cornerstone of our democracy.  It is one of the keys to our continued success.

I would love to ask that teacher how thrilled she would be if I passed out Ronald Reagan T-shirts and taught the kids a little diddy I worked up about how George W. Bush kept America safe from terrorist attacks for eight years?  I think that video would prompt a melodramatic Keith Olbermann monologue and drive Maureen Dowd to lament the poisoning of our youth.  But hey, a song about our exalted ruler is just a display of patriotism, and an SEIU sponsored Black History Month exercise.

But I would never dream of teaching a class to sing a song called “Sarah Palin, Queen of the Wild Frontier” because that’s not part of my DNA.  Conservatives and Libertarians are naturally skeptical of leadership and resist government at all costs.  I think it’s slowly starting to sink in with folks that it really isn’t about the interpretation of our existing government that is the debate, but the very definition of that government that is disputed.  We don’t want a Republican health care bill that favors the insurance companies and drug companies to counterbalance the Democratic underwriting of unions and trial lawyers.  We don’t want any health care bill because we either  like our health care, or we recognize the simple fact that government intervention is the cause of our health care woes in the first place.

People need something lofty to believe in.  Some people believe in God.  Some people believe in ideas.  Some people believe in themselves.

The weakest of our species put their faith and devotion into other mortals.  A dictator is just a single person.  A man of flesh and blood who rises to power through the irrational, emotional, and uneducated support of others.  People who lack the conviction to believe in either a God, a set of principles, or themselves gravitate towards charisma and empty promises.

Instead of combing through history to find out why other nations “hate” us, perhaps the left and the media (I know, a redundant statement) should look at other aspects of world history.   How did a failed art student with a bad haircut and a silly mustache end up starting a world war?  How did a former assistant librarian end up killing 20 million of his countrymen?  How did a seminary drop out become a ruthless dictator?  What is the end result of the deification of a leader?  How well does it work out for societies when they abandon ideas and embrace personality?  What happens when we set aside republican checks and balances and vest power in an individual?

Hit the Wikipedia and answer those questions my friends and you will understand why this Tea Partier has his bags tied up in knots.

Now, I’m not a teacher, but let me ring the bell and start the lesson for all my homies out there in the teacher’s union.  We don’t worship politicians in America, and with very good reason.  World history is full of dictators and monarchs.  Our republic is unique, and it is an amazing success.  Obama works for us; we do not praise and pay homage to him.  Teaching our children that our President, the leader of the free world, is actually the employee of every American citizen is the real lesson for the tykes here.  If America was a giant Wendy’s, Obama would be the manager, Joe Biden would be working the fryer and Rahm Emmanuel would be running the drive through.  We, the American people, own it!

Next week kids, we’ll discuss how we fire our employees.

The NEA: Defending the Indefensible

It was so much fun watching the ACORN people try and spin their way out of oblivion for the last couple of weeks.  After the first video was posted on Big Government.com they, of course, claimed it was an isolated incident and that the filmmakers were kicked out of numerous other ACORN offices.  When that proved to be false, they tried in vain to claim that the videos were faked and that their employees were the victims of CGI or something and not of their own stupidity and corruption.  When that didn’t work they claimed that the filmmakers, Andrew Breitbart and the entire Fox News network were racist.  Yawn.

NEA’s Yosi Sergant

Monday, we have the NEA under the microscope.  The Obama Administration was caught red-handed (is that “racist”?) funneling tax payer dollars into an official propaganda department.  I can’t wait to see what the excuse will be this time.

These people have mastered the art of defending the indefensible.

Let’s set aside the stupidity of this move.  Anyone familiar with the NEA knows that it pretty much exists to fund leftist propaganda disguised as art.  Officially coordinating it is a bit redundant.

Let’s also set aside the brazen arrogance.  Despite rejecting and dismissing charges that this administration is attempting to turn the United States into a South American Banana Republic, these folks keep doing things that make Hugo Chavez envious.  State run propaganda through the NEA, silencing critics with the stigma of “racism,” setting up official channels to rat out your neighbors for “thought crimes” with flag@whitehouse.gov, and restructuring our economy with wealth redistribution schemes like socialized medicine and cap and trade are just a few of their moves right from the Trotsky play book.  And they do it all with righteous indignation.  They claim that we students of history are too ignorant, too blinded by our prejudices, to really see what’s going on.

No, let’s focus on the inevitable excuses that will flow from the mouths of the White House spin doctors and the true believers that make up the mainstream media.  If I, from the outside, can predict their next moves, it’s pretty obvious that their excuses aren’t genuine.

They are just another act in this grand play of leftist tomfoolery.

Phase one will be complete silence.  The story won’t be picked up by the state run media.  Crickets.  Crickets.  After about a week of red faced Glenn Beck monologues, daily Rush Limbaugh pontifications (thanks, by the way, for the shout-out last week El Rushbo, the family was very impressed), Sarah Palin facebook posts, and Andrew Breitbart expertly rolling out more information, they will be forced to respond.

Phase two will be what I like to call “The Oz Effect.”  Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.  What’s the big deal, after all?  The President, through the positively Grima Wormtongue-like Robert Gibbs, will “not really be aware of it.”  There are bigger issues after all.  Americans are concerned about the greedy insurance companies and the doctors trying to amputate their feet for some extra scratch, not about what happens at the NEA.  David Shuster, the poor man’s Keith Olbermann, will point out that the people involved have already been reassigned.  Isn’t this just another Republican shot in the dark?  Don’t these people have any real ideas?  Aren’t the conservatives in disarray?  Who is their leader anyway?

oz

Phase three will be the “offense-defense.”  David Frum will talk about the risks that conservatives run by offending artists.  Going after the NEA will just prove that we don’t like creative things.  CNN will air segments featuring inner-city kids finger painting, explaining that the NEA’s $50 million cut of the stimulus money paid for those paints.  You don’t want to take away finger paints. do you?  Evil conservatives.  The President will tout the importance of the arts in our community, the hope and joy it brings to so many.  Sure, there were some bad apples, but they were just cowboys acting without official orders.  We need the NEA.  Just like we need ACORN, socialized medicine, and cap and trade.

Phase four will be justice.  Riding high on the conservative smack down, bills will come forward in the House and Senate to freeze the NEA’s budget or defund it all together.  A few lone whack jobs will vote against it, but it will pass with a fat majority.

Breitbart and company can claim another scalp.  And to quote Aldo Raine, “I want my scalps!”

Aldo2

At no point will any member of the administration step forward and admit that it was wrong, un-American, or dangerous for democracy.  The mainstream media will never pile onto the story and dig deeper.

These lame excuses and political posturings come with a high cost.  Each time we do something like this, and they respond as outlined above, their credibility drops a few points.  Every time this sort of thing happens, another person on the fence looks at the evidence and joins the right team.

There is a reason why conservative blogs are full of charts, facts, figures and quotes from history, while liberal blogs ramble on about conspiracies and charges of racism.  There is a reason why conservatives use their understanding of economics to build companies and empires, while the left has to resort to trickery and emotional arguments to fund their pointless projects.

It’s because we “get it.”  They don’t.  Their edge has always been their stranglehold on the media; but that is slipping away like star systems through Grand Moff Tarkin’s fingers.  Conservatives, being the smart entrepreneurs that we are, created our own parallel media.  We have filled this new media with facts, intelligence and passion.  The response from the opposition has been demagoguery, excuses, and misdirection.  Bad form.  Bad form indeed.

So good luck digging your way out of this one, hippies.  2010 and 2012 can’t come soon enough.  Leftists, you are on notice.  Your orgy of power and stupidity will be brief and soon you will be gone.

Oh, and on your way out, take the mainstream media with you.  You are both useless.

Ladies of the ACORN Video I Will Hire You

I just found out that the two women featured on the undercover ACORN video posted on our sister site Big Government were fired by the community organizing group.  This is really good news.  First, it proves that the ridiculously funny and unbelievable video is real.  At first glance, it’s so over-the-top that one assumes it must be fake.  Now, we have the proof that these women really were ACORN employees and not the most talented improv actors to ever live.  Secondly, it means that these two women are now unemployed.

And I want to hire them immediately.

frf

These women can navigate the tax code so well that they managed to gin up dependent child tax credits for underage El Salvadorian prostitutes.  They provided detailed instructions on how to obtain a low interest, government subsidized mortgage for a brothel.  They gave clever insight into laundering a pimp’s take of prostitute earnings into a campaign account for a would be Democratic politician.

I look at them, as an independent film producer, and think; “must hire.”

With these two on my side, imagine what I could accomplish.  My tax credit revenue would triple.  My financing schemes would abandon foreign pre-sales and network television deals and embrace government grants and subsidies.  Bureaucratic and confusing union paperwork would dissolve in their capable hands.  At the end of the first show, SAG and IATSE would owe me money.

Ladies, whatever ACORN was paying, I’ll double it!  And I’ll give you gross points.

Joking aside (and ask yourself, is he really joking?), this little video tells us a lot.  It’s not simply that ACORN is a corrupt and shady organization … we already knew that.  That’s no more a revelation than the fact that Lindsay Lohan has some issues with the drinky.  No, it shows us that the default mode of human nature is capitalism.  There is no way around it.

These women were supposedly working to benefit their community.  A noble and selfless pursuit.  What they were really adept at is gaming the system.  Just like an independent, scrappy filmmaker.

At the root of Communism and Socialism is the undeniable truth that there is always someone at the top.  Capitalism rewards ingenuity, smarts, and hard work.  Socialism rewards cronyism, manipulation, and collective thought.  If the politicians in Washington really believed that we should all “pitch in” as their policies dictate, why wouldn’t those millionaires donate their federal salaries to charity?  If they were really true believers they would live like monks, sleeping in their office and shopping at Goodwill.  Instead, they’re eating Kobe steaks and buying fracking jets!  Get real.

I’ve always been baffled by the fact that people who rabidly embrace Darwinism over Christian Doctrine don’t see Natural Selection at work in the political, economic, and social realms. That seems backwards to me. Shouldn’t the followers of Jesus, not Darwin,  be the ones who push for all of us to be “our brother’s keepers?” I can understand how a Christians can interpret their beliefs to gel with Ben Franklin’s “God helps those who help themselves,” but I can’t for the life of me figure out how “people of science and reason” have adopted the belief system that they have.

Communism and Socialism fly in the face of natural law.

All that I can conclude is that the Socialists and Communists have selected their ideology as a means to consolidate power and money.  They are averse to hard work and true entrepreneurialism and have found a shortcut to wealth and control.

Communism is Capitalism for schemers.  ACORN is no different than AIG.

As a side note, I would like to further commend the two women in the video.  We “typical white folks” get a sort of racist vibe from the whole ACORN thing, so I applaud those two African-American women for their treatment of the Caucasian pimp and his ho.  I can only hope that white ACORN workers show the same respect for all the black hustlers and trick-turners who seek their assistance.

So ladies, consider me impressed.  From one Capitalist to another, ready to work the system to our benefit, please consider my offer.  We kindred spirits need to stick together.
