American Thinker, by Jack Cashill Posted By: magnante- Sat, 31 Jul 2010 16:32:44 GMT Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, the 22'year old star of the impressively vulgar MTV reality TV show, Jersey Shore has a beef with President Obama that '' who knows? '' could lead to the repeal of ObamaCare. (snip) Obama put a 10 percent tax on tanning. (snip) The provision in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation that mandates a 10 percent tax on UV'ray sessions has a dramatically "disparate impact" on people of little or no color, generically known as "white people."

There will be blood: Leaking Afghan war secrets will cost our friends their lives

New York Daily News, by Editorial Posted By: PageTurner- Sat, 31 Jul 2010 16:16:21 GMT The publication of 92,000 classified documents from inside the war effort in Afghanistan is proving a greater threat to national security than first believed. Worse, it has produced mortal dangers in the battle zone. Initial evaluations suggested WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange had disseminated a mountain of reports that added little to the picture of a tough campaign. Now, though, closer inspection has revealed dozens of instances in which the reports reveal the names of Afghans who have cooperated with U.S. and NATO troops. They now sit squarely in the gunsights of the Taliban. Source corrected to site style.

Kerry; Benedict Arnold’s Yacht

Boston Globe, by Editorial, Boston Globe Posted By: Boston Federalist- Sat, 31 Jul 2010 15:31:12 GMT If Massachusetts Senator John Kerry had escaped $500,000 in state taxes by docking his yacht in Rhode Island, the offense wouldn’t have been as serious as, say, plotting with the British against the Continental Army in 1780. But then, it was Kerry himself who upped the rhetorical ante against those who use tax loopholes for their own gain.

It’s About Sharia

National Review, by Andrew C. McCarthyna Posted By: Judy W.- Sat, 31 Jul 2010 15:24:58 GMT The 2010 midterms have not happened yet, but the 2012 campaign is under way. For that we can thank Newt Gingrich. Not because Gingrich is a candidate, though he almost certainly is. And not because he can win, because that is by no means certain. We should thank Gingrich because he has crystallized the essence of our national'security challenge. Henceforth, there should be no place to hide for any candidate, including any incumbent. The question will be: Where do you stand on sharia?

About 180 deputies and trained sheriff’s volunteers fanned out across metropolitan Phoenix on Thursday targeting traffic violators who may also be illegal immigrants.

A Turning Point for Democrats?

National Journal Magazine, by Charlie Cook Posted By: Boston Federalist- Sat, 31 Jul 2010 14:16:31 GMT It's too early to say for sure, but it's possible that the Republican wave has subsided. Very few people watch political polls more closely than I do. (Whether that's a good thing or suggests that I'm slightly neurotic is up for debate.) When you monitor surveys incessantly, you occasionally see results that you're unsure how to interpret.

Star Phoenix (Saskatoon, SK, Canada), by Allen Abel Posted By: Scottyboy- Sat, 31 Jul 2010 13:42:37 GMT I was driving the heart'breaking streets of Charm City and the black man on the radio was talking about Barack Obama. "All this spinnin' plates on a stick the president's tryin' to do is for the rich," he was saying. And the caller (it was a local midday talk show on the AM dial) said: "Yeah, he can't take no more from us, 'cause we got nothin' to lose." The next day, a survey was released by The Washington Post and ABC News and the headline said: Majority of Americans lack faith in Obama
